Meet Our Team
Hi, I’m Kevin.
I’m the owner and founder of McCann Window & Exteriors.
I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, and I received my college degree from Mundelein College. Later, I moved up to the North Shore, met my gorgeous wife, and raised three spirited, incredible boys.
My interests include: going to White Sox games, playing tennis, golfing (patiently), and more recently, boxing.
What I enjoy most about what I do is working with the families in my community and helping them make their homes the way they want them.
I love meeting people in their homes because you get to know a whole different side of them. Getting to know people this way is a lot of fun and very rewarding.
Annette joined McCann Windows in June 2015. We hired her because of her concern for people and passion for providing excellent, personable service. Says Annette, “At the end of the day, I know I have succeeded if customers feel attended to and appreciated.”
“I’ve spent most of my life in the North Shore area. As the daughter of a master carpenter, and wife of a handyman, I’m very familiar with the remodeling industry. I am creative myself, making practical works of art, like theatrical costumes. Now I spend my free time supporting the creative efforts of my ten children (writers, photographer, chef, visual artists, performers).”
As Chief Operations Officer, Annette provides administrative and organizational support, and so much more to Kevin and everyone else here.
Dave and Kevin have worked together in the window business since 1982. He joined McCann Window and Exteriors in the mid-1990s as an installer. As the business grew, he hung up his tool belt and moved into the front office to manage installation teams and ensure orders were accurate and installations tightly scheduled.
Dave retired two years ago, but the base he helped build at McCann required the attention of our long-time ace. Kevin lured him out of retirement to measure, order, and schedule an increasing volume of customer orders.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Dave, like Kevin, is an avid baseball fan.
Deb always finds new ways to add a touch of creativity that takes simple projects to new levels. Deb recently “re-joined” the McCann team after a career journey that took her from Calico Corners as an interior designer to events consulting and management. Along with Kevin raising their three sons, all who have worked in the business at some point, she has been a part of McCann Window since its inception—literally starting the business from their small Evanston condo. Deb is happy to be back at McCann, partnering with Kevin to bring her creative talents and mastery at building lasting customers relationships.
Jim brings 25 years of broad experience to his job as Sales Consultant. Before specializing in windows and doors, Jim and his wife owned and operated their own international home furnishing and design business. Most importantly, he brings with him unparalleled dedication to our customers. He measures success not by sales but by customer satisfaction, finding creative and effective ways to address any window and/or door-related issue. Jim and his wife live in a 100-year-old farmhouse in Northbrook with their two daughters, whose softball team he coaches.
For Brian, as Production Manager, with a background as a master carpenter, it’s all about the details, making sure that every detail, big or small, is not overlooked. He has a tremendous amount of skill and talent to problem solve, which comes in handy for project construction coordination, cost‐control systems implementation, and estimating/bid package development.
Brian’s attention to detail, creativity, drive for excellence, and sense of humor make him a much-appreciated part of our team.
Dan, our Assistant Production Manager & Service Manager, keeps us on track by scheduling jobs and deliveries and managing our warehouse. Dan comes to us from the University of Wisconsin but is native to the area, where he has extended family. An outdoorsman—and a Hawks fan—Dan enjoys golfing in summer, and playing hockey and ice-fishing in the winter. His favorite part of the job? “I love helping people.”
