How You Benefit From Our Pella Platinum Certified Contractor Status
Apr 01, 2024What Is a Pella Platinum Elite Certified Contractor?
Platinum Elite is the top tier of the manufacturer’s certified contractor program. Holding it requires meeting the manufacturer’s installation standards, maintaining training and volume requirements, clearing customer satisfaction thresholds, and submitting to periodic audits of completed work. The practical benefit to a homeowner is warranty backing. On a certified installation the manufacturer stands behind the labor as well as the product, so a claim years later does not depend on the installing company still being in business. Certified contractors also receive direct factory support on custom sizing and service parts, which shortens lead times on openings that are not standard.
Platinum Status = Elite Pricing and Service

Pella Platinum Certified Contractors have been tapped as peer leaders in the field because of our track record for superior service and sales. The certification is a mark of high quality and exceptional technical skill.
Pella Certified Contractors utilize industry best practices and follow good building practices. They also receive, maintain and use required education on proper installation and best practices consistent with Pella products.
How Certified Contractors Differ From Other Window Installers
The difference is auditing, not marketing. An uncertified installer can buy and fit the same product, but nobody inspects the finished work and the manufacturer’s obligation stops at the product itself. Under a certification program the installation method is specified, crews are trained to it, completed jobs are reviewed, and the labor sits inside the warranty. That distinction rarely shows up on installation day. It shows up five years later, when a seal fails or a sash binds and someone has to decide whose problem it is.
Pella Certification in Perspective
OK, that’s nice for us—but what’s it to you? Our Pella Platinum Certified Contractor status gets you optimum service and pricing.

As one of our customers, you enjoy some of the benefits Pella extends to us as Platinum-certified. Because we’re valuable to Pella, they give McCann Window orders optimum pricing and handling. We’re happy to pass on those advantages to you. It’s only fair: You made us successful, so we share the rewards.
Please know, though, that when you work with us, we’ll always recommend and install the product that’s exactly right for your home and budget, whoever makes it. We represent all the leading home remodeling product manufacturers.
How to Verify a Certified Contractor
Verification takes two minutes and is worth doing. Ask the company for its certification credentials and the year it was last renewed, since these programs are re earned rather than granted permanently. Cross check the company name against the manufacturer’s own contractor locator instead of relying on a badge image on a website, because a logo can be copied and a locator entry cannot. If a company holds certification with more than one manufacturer, ask which certification applies to the specific product line being quoted. As a Pella Platinum Elite Certified Contractor, an Andersen Premier Certified Contractor with Marvin also available, we can show you real examples of each on the consultation, side by side, so the comparison is honest instead of one sided.
