First Time’s a Charm
Missy Frank of Buffalo Grove hired McCann Window about 12 years to replace the windows in her former house. “We had gotten estimates from big companies, little companies, all over, probably five of them,” she says. “Kevin, by far, seemed the most knowledgeable and, hands down, was the friendliest. He was the warmest by far. He replaced all the windows in our house and had a variety of options, which I liked. The windows I selected were installed well and worked well until the day we moved out.”
New House, New Project
When it came time to replace windows in the new house, Missy, naturally, called Kevin again. This time, the project required some fairly major construction on the first floor, including moving a sliding glass door to a new location and changing a bay window area to a big picture window with two side windows. “Kevin worked alongside the contractor and made it possible,” she says. “He was all over helping advise us and implementing our window plan…Kevin came over and talked with the contractor about the feasibility of what could work and what we wanted. He made it happen.”
Kevin also advised her on replacing non-standard windows in her kids’ bedrooms. “The windows are square on 3 sides, and the top is kind of like a hump,” Missy explains. “I love that when I went to replace them, Kevin looked and me and said those are an expensive custom item. He gave me an alternate idea where I could replace the windows so much cheaper. I decided to go with the more expensive windows because I didn’t want to change the front of my house, but I appreciated that he gave me the choice.”
What did Missy love about working with McCann?
“I’m a person people. Kevin is really who sold me,” Missy says. “I thought his prices were extremely competitive with the big box window places. I like his personal touch. He followed up a few months later and asked how the windows were working. He truly cares about the windows and my family, and I like that…He’s the only person who will ever replace a window in my house.”
