Double-Hung Style Windows

These are, by far, the most common style of replacement windows used in today’s homes. They’re low maintenance, energy-efficient, and easy to clean from the inside. They’re also the most traditional-looking window.

Glider or Sliding Style Windows

These windows are the most economical way to fill a wide opening. They’re ideal for homeowners looking to get the most window for the best value. We sometimes replace two or three double-hung windows with a single glider window.

Picture or Fixed Style Windows

These allow the most unobstructed daylight into a room, and they’re the tightest fitting when it comes to air filtration because they don’t open.

Bay or Bow Style Windows

This window style brings in more light, makes the room feel bigger, and helps create a warm ambiance for your home.

Casement Style Windows

When opened, this contemporary window style allows the most airflow of any window style. It also offers less air filtration or leakage because of the way it closes.

Cottage or Craftsman Style Windows

Traditionally, cottage windows have a 40/60 sash size ratio split. The smaller upper sash may also contain grilles, which gives the appearance of multiple individual window panes. The two distinctive features of cottage-style windows add architectural interest and preserve the classic charm of cottage and Craftsman style homes.

Tilt-Turn Style Windows

Tilt-turn windows offer European styling and dual functionality. The sash opens two ways, giving you ventilation flexibility. Simply turn the handle 90 degrees to swing the window sash open into your room for a clear view and a full breeze. Or, if you want just a little fresh air, a 180-degree turn of the handle tilts the sash in to vent from the top. (Picture below, center & right, Marvin Tilt & Turn Windows)

Awning Style Windows

This style of window is typically horizontal and cranks outward from the top. One benefit is that you can keep them open when it’s raining!

Hopper Style Windows

A hopper window is similar to an awning window, except that it vents at the top and opens into your room instead of out. It is usually placed above other doors and windows for extra light and ventilation.

Glass Block Windows

These windows are ideal for security and privacy. We’ll typically use them in basement window openings.
